The series of BIBE Conferences, founded in 2000, is the longest-running IEEE Conference of its kind and has inspired the establishment of many related scientific forums. The 26^th IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Bioengineering (BIBE 2026) aims to foster collaboration and build synergies among the complementary disciplines of Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Biomedicine, and related fields. These interdisciplinary collaborations have contributed significantly to addressing complex challenges in medicine, biological systems, bioengineering, environmental health, public health, forensics, wearable technologies, and assistive devices. They have also improved human health and wellbeing by advancing our understanding of living organisms at multiple levels, supporting the development of innovative implants and bioprosthetic systems, and improving methods for the detection, prevention, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of diseases. BIBE series will also highlight rapidly emerging medical research areas, including embodied intelligence in healthcare, medical large language and foundation models, brain-computer interfaces, intelligent medical devices, digital health, precision medicine, and artificial intelligence-assisted diagnosis and clinical decision-making. The BIBE series provides a common platform for cross-fertilization of ideas and for shaping knowledge and scientific achievements by bringing these disciplines into an interactive and engaging forum. Keeping this objective in mind, BIBE solicits original contributions in the following non-exclusive lists of areas.
